High School

Spiritual and Relational Growth

Our high school students meet in the upstairs classrooms between the morning worship services. During this hour, they dig into the catechisms, creeds, and doctrines of the Christian faith. And by the end of the curriculum, they should have a firmer idea of why we believe and worship the way we do, and also an appreciation for the theology and worship practices of other Christians, too. As students grow in the confidence and articulation of their faith, they are encouraged to make a public profession of faith and become full voting members in the congregation.

Building Community

Our CREW meets regularly.  Throughout the school year on Sunday nights at the Vault (our youth building on Sheldon), CREW provides an intimate and less formal time of worship for our high school students.  Also on the calendar throughout the year?  Small group Bible studies, Celebration Worship, weekend retreats, and monthly social events like White Caps games, bonfires, beach days, game nights, ice skating, and holiday parties. Always invited?  Friends!  Always included? Food and laughter!

Serving Others

Within the congregation, our teens usher, serve on standing committees, lead Children’s Worship, run sound systems, and tackle a variety of other tasks. Their opportunities for reaching out to our community include monthly dinner service at Degage, a short-term mission trip each spring, Youth Unlimited’s SERVE each summer, and other projects as they present themselves—contact our church office for more information.
