Church School is for children and youth of our church who are in grades 3-12. Our curriculum is written from a Reformed perspective and seeks to lead our youth to a meaningful profession of their faith and to a pattern of covenantal obedience to Jesus Christ. It seeks to equip our children and youth to share their faith and serve others in the community and is the only program of our church which concentrates solely on teaching the doctrines and confessions of the Christian Reformed Church as found in the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dort.
College Ministry is currently “under construction.” We encourage college students to get involved in ministry at LaGrave. It is our hope that we can begin a Bible Study discussion group and provide activities for students as well. All of that depends on the desires, needs and willingness of students to commit to being a part of this ministry. Text the key word above to let us know you are interested!
CREW is our High School Youth Group and is designed to challenge teens to know the triune God, become disciples of Jesus Christ and serve him daily in all aspects of life. CREW meets in a large group and small group activities, Celebration Worship, service nights, discipleship groups, retreats, mission trips and outings. The primary focus is on learning how to become disciples of Christ. This requires a rich environment where relationships with peers, adult leaders and God are pursued.
Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior (GEMS) Girls Club is for girls in 1st through 8th grade. The group enjoys singing, Bible studies, earning badges, and making crafts. GEMS find fun ways to learn more about God and build friendships that grow year after year. As a group, we enjoy various outings, service projects, and sleepovers together.
Middle School Ministry (MSM)
MSM is for 6th-8th graders and meets at least three times a month for fellowship, fun, service, study, and worship. MSM also participates in retreats and a summer mission trip. Through both large and small group activities, relationships are built and students are challenged to live as radical followers of Jesus.
Boy Scouts is for boys entering 6th grade through 18 years of age. The goal is to provide a Christian character-building environment where they can grow physically, mentally, and spiritually; as well as learn responsibility and leadership in an atmosphere of camaraderie. They take part in outdoor adventures, including monthly campouts and a summer trip; they earn merit badges toward Eagle Scout rank, and they complete community service projects.
Youth Outdoors is for K – 5th grade boys. It takes the boys exploration and adventure skills to new heights! Outdoor adventure is the major component in this ministry which challenges participants to see God’s hand in nature. Youth outdoors also includes an annual pinewood derby.
