Middle School

Middle School Students Belong Here!

From late September through early May, we have Church School between our two morning services, and our middle school members meet by grade in the upstairs classrooms. During this important hour, they begin to connect the foundational Bible stories they’ve learned with their own lives. Classes are designed to help students grow their Biblical understanding, experience the joy and security of belonging to Jesus, explore His church and how it works, and articulate their own faith in word and deed.

Their Own Space

As much as we love having our middle schoolers in the mix, we know they need their own space, too. Our ET’s group is that space. Monthly events include things like: game nights, ice skating, weekend retreats, ArtPrize visits, small group Bible studies, river tubing, service projects, holiday parties, and a summer mission trip. Together, relationships are built and students are challenged to live as radical followers of Jesus.

Fully Participating

Our middle schoolers are invited and encouraged to be involved with the congregation in a variety of ways: Boy Scouts and GEMS meet on Wednesday nights during the school year, and Junior Choir and Bells Gloria meet on Sunday afternoons. Many also choose to tackle a variety of service opportunities that are available and waiting—contact our Service Opportunities Coordinator for more information.
