The Henry Beets Cuba Committee has some exciting updates regarding the House Church purchase program. Back in early October, we introduced the Cuba House Church project with the goal of providing financial support to the Cuban Christian Reformed Church (CCRC) for the purpose of purchasing house churches. The initial goal of $125,000 had been set to purchase two buildings. 

Our fundraising efforts have gone very well. We have over $50,000 in actual donations and also total pledges (over 2 years) of up to $160,000. Exceeding our initial goal makes possible the purchase of at least two church houses along with covering renovation costs in order to expand their work of evangelism and worship. We praise God for the generous response we have received from all those who believe in the work being done by the Cuban Christian Reformed Church (CCRC).

We continue to ask others to join us in this effort by praying for locating the right houses and the right locations for the churches. Even though we have met our initial goal, you can still make a contribution to this cause. Here are the details: 

• pledges can be made over a two-year period if desired; 
• donations are tax deductible;
• donations should specify “Cuba House Church Purchases” so they are properly recorded; and
• direct all donations to Amy Herman, LaGrave’s Administrative Manager.
