Children

Safe & Secure

Our Nurseries are securely staffed with fellow parents and volunteers from the congregation during each worship service. Some parents make use of the Nursery right away and others choose to keep their infants with them in the sanctuary, using the Quiet Room or doing some pacing in the Narthex when needed. As they begin to walk, babies graduate to the more active and exciting Toddler Nursery. In our 2’s & 3’s Room, little ones get to pray, hear a Bible story and have a response time with their teachers– along with plenty of free play time, of course!

Active & Learning

Before the sermon, our preacher invites all kids in 2nd Grade and younger forward for a special Children’s Message. Then, they venture upstairs to their own Worship Centers where they will hear, see and respond to the stories of God through a curriculum designed especially for them. During the 10:00 Education Hour, they are invited to join in one of our youth choirs while their older siblings and parents attend Church School and Growing U.

Fully Participating

Beginning in 3rd Grade, children stay in the pews with their families and attend Church School classes between the two morning services. Throughout Elementary School, children may participate in corporate worship through Table Fellowship, singing with Junior Choir, playing with Bells Gloria, and processing the Cross and Bible. They build relationships at Church School, GEMS Girls’ Club, Outdoors, Scouts, and church-wide fellowship events. And they may serve others in a number of different ways—contact our Church Office to learn about these opportunities!
