The Junior Choir offers children in the third through eighth grade an opportunity to learn the elementary rudiments of music as well as to prepare for singing in worship services. The choir is under the direction of Marcia Pylman, a skilled musician who has several years of experience as a retired elementary school teacher in the Grand Rapids Public Schools and as a children’s choir director in previous church positions.

The choir rehearses Sunday afternoons from 4:45 to 5:50 p.m. from October through May. The choir participates in worship approximately once per month throughout the church year. Music is chosen that supports the theme of the day or the church season.

Marilou Reiffer is the Junior Choir accompanist. In addition to piano accompaniment, the choir is often joined by LaGrave instrumentalists, such as a violinist or flutist.
