Women's Bible Study


The Women’s Wednesday 8AM Bible Study 

When:  Weekly on Wednesday mornings; 8 – 9:15 AM; year-around (with occasional breaks as negotiated by the group  - see schedule each week in the bulletin)
Where: In LaGrave’s Church Parlor.
Format: Using a Bible study course called Search The Scriptures, General Editor Alan M. Stibbs (InterVarsity Press), members prepare written answers to questions in the guide. Usually 4 to 6 questions are discussed each week.  Any LaGrave women possibly interested in joining this group are invited and encouraged to attend a session and ask questions of those present. Extra study guides are often available. Try us – you’ll like us!

The Women’s Wednesday Mid-Morning Bible Study

When: Weekly on Wednesday mornings from 9:45 to 11:00 am, September through May
Where: In LaGrave’s Church Parlor.
Format: Meetings begin with coffee and fellowship, followed by devotions and prayer. Members then split into small groups for Bible study. Weekly lessons are taken from a study guide based on a theme, or book in the Bible. We welcome women who desire a challenging but user-friendly Bible study that speaks to the issues and questions of our daily lives.

Women’s Beth Moore Bible Studies (offered at two times)

When: Weekly on Thursday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15 am. Session one begins on September 25, and a second session will begin in January.
Where: In LaGrave’s Church Parlor.

When: Weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, starting on September 30. A second session will begin in January.
Where: In LaGrave’s Executive Conference Room.

Format: During the week, members spend time alone with God working through each day’s homework. At the meetings, small groups discuss the homework and then come together as a large group to view a DVD teaching from Beth Moore.

Comfort on Our Spiritual Journey

When: Every other Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 am, beginning Oc-tober 1.
Where: In LaGrave’s Lower Level Meeting Room.
Format: Led by Ellie VanderWell and guided by the Heidelberg Catechism through James Schaap’s book Every Bit of Who I Am, this group study is designed to help us wrestle with some of our questions, engage in helpful discussion on doubts and struggles we may have, and find deeper Comfort on Our Spiritual Journey. Members will spend time listening to God, praying, journaling, and encouraging each other.
