Dr. Michael Hoogeboom has held the position of Minister of Outreach since 2003. In his role as a “missionary pastor,” Mike seeks to make disciples who are formed into the likeness of Jesus Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father. Along with administering programs that connect people from the congregation with God’s mission in this world, Mike facilitates small groups that form disciples through word, prayer, reflection and Christian community. Mike has been an adjunct professor at Kuyper College teaching spiritual formation and an immersion course on poverty and faith. As follower of Jesus and worship leader his prayer life has been enriched by praying the psalms. He has published an article in Reformed Worship (March 2009, Issue 91) entitled, Praying the Psalms: A Congregational Prayer for Pentecost. He is married to Lisa and they have three children and one son-in-law: Sara and Joshua Rumbager, Joshua, and Elisabeth.
